It's morning ...
A guy with a truck finally stopped. It's really cool to drive in a truck. It's slower but it has a greater view.
The truck driver did not speak a word english. But he was really eager to talk to us. Really cool guy.
He didn't take us far on the road but when he let us out he parked his truck and invited us to a cofee and something to eat. Because of him we came to Astrachan. He took us to the bus station and told us that there is a bus that comes at ten o'clock that will take us where we want to go. Just what we needed!
B - ''Hey Sebastian .. today is Wednesday right?''
S - '' Yeah .. i think so ...''
B - ''Yeah.. it has to be wednesday''
S - ''Let me look'' ........... no, it's Friday''
We lost track of time.. big time
We can't really tell if we were for a long or for a short time on the way.
We just know we're ON time... so, today at midnight it's time to go into Kasachstan.

We planed to wake up at 7 o clock in the morning... wash up and leave really fast to the street to Astrachan.
Let's just say the plan was an italian one... we were on the street at six in the evening.

But it was a great day. We found our way out of Volgograd pretty hard. Big city, nobody speaks a word english. We saw an awesome statue from the bus. check it out
We started to see the first asians... so we think it's a good sign that we didn't take the wrong roads to where we want to go.

We took the bus to Astrakhan. we paid 12 Euros for the ticket. It was a big fancy bus with tv and so on.
On the tv, there was a movie about russian soldiers in the world war.
At five we were in Astrachan. It's very close to the Caspian Sea. You can smell the sea air.

Tonight we'll be at the Border with Kasachstand and hopefully tomorow on the train to Almaty. We didn't have that much luck with trains until now. We're going to need all the luck we have to catch this one.
After that, the rest is history. If we don't get the train.. we're going to have to ride a camel along the Silk Road to China.
